Checking in....

I thought Kenna wiggled alot in her sleep but she is nothing compared to Katrina. Before I crawled into bed the other night, I checked on the kids one last time. I saw Kenna in bed...

But, I didn't see Katrina in her bed and started looking for her...

Then I discovered she was actually there...... I'm so glad I checked on them. That would have been so uncomfortable to wake up to.

Ahhh...there ya go! That looks much more comfortable....

Spring has sprung...

Even though some days are still really cold and rainy (lately), some days are warm too. I can tell spring has arrived by looking at the trees with blossoms on them. My favorites are the really white trees. It reminds me of the primary song "pop corn popping" My other favorites are the pink/purple trees. They are all along the side of the road. I grab my camera whenever I see a pretty tree to take a picture of.

How long will these diapers last???...

That is my big question. What do you think? We don't have a baby yet. But, I am trying to stock up on baby necessities before this baby comes.

So, here are my 27 packages of diapers (I gave one away as a baby shower gift :o)) AND My 9 packages of wipes. (The diapers have between 45 and 55 in each package) So how long do you think these will last me? Three months, Four months, Five months???

I did the math...If the baby needs a diaper change 5x's a day. These diapers will last 10 months!!! WOW! I hope I got enough of the right sizes. These are all Newborn and 1's and a few 3's. I couldn't find 2's. I will probably end up returning some for different sizes.

This is how I got $420.00 worth of diapers and wipes for $162.00

I am not a person who uses coupons. I'd like to, but it seems to be more hassle than it is worth. I have two good friends from Arizona that used coupon sense and would show me 30 bottles of shampoo that they got for free. Or several packages of Toilet paper, or cleaners, that they got for free. Or even better... they would have a whole shopping cart full of stuff that they got for $3.00. The whole cart for $3.00? That just blew my mind!!! They would try to explain how they would use their coupons to get all this free stuff and it went over my head and still seemed like too much work. Well, I had my first experience with FREE this weekend!!! And LOVED IT! So let me see if I can explain this where it makes since.....
Deb called me and told me about this deal at Walgreen's...
Huggies Diapers (Jumbo pack) on sale for $10.00
At Walgreen's, if you spend over $25. you get a $10. print out coupon to use later.
So, Buy two packages of diapers for $20.00 and a pack of refill wipes for 6.00
That makes your order total 26.00. You get a $10.00 print out coupon. Plus, you use your $5.00 off coupon that you can print twice from coupons.com. So that makes $10.00 off. PLUS, I have my $10.00 print out coupon to go buy $10.00 of FREE diapers later. That basically makes the two packages of diapers and wipes I bought - $6.00 TOTAL! OH my goodness! I know this sounds so lame! But it was so fun!!!! We did this 8 times! We have 2 computers at home and Tim brought his two lap top's from work so we were able to print out these coupons 8 times!!! And then, there was also a $3.00 off coupon we printed 8 times!!! So 16 coupons TOTAL! You use 2 coupons at a time so, I got 8 $10.00 coupons from Walgreen's. I went back and bought $80.00 worth of diapers. AND, AND, AND, every purchase I got a $5.00 off coupon on Enfamil formula. So I have 8 of those coupons. I'm just waiting for a good formula deal to come around like the diaper deal. :o)
Tim, being so sweet (but made me mad) used 5 of those $10 print outs and bought me $50.00 worth of more Huggies so I didn't have to do it later. I tried to be grateful and not show him I was mad. But my plan was to use all 8 of those $10.00 Walgreen's print out coupons to buy the cheaper Walgreen's diapers to get DOUBLE the diapers because they were 1/2 the price @ 4.50 each for the same size package as the Huggies. But at least I still had 3 of the $10. coupons in the car. So I was able to go back and get $60. worth of diapers for FREE. Could have been more like $160. worth of diapers for FREE but, oh well.

Pinewood Derby

Now that Tyler is in scouts we get the joy of being involved in Pinewood Derbys. Tim was so excited about it. I noticed with alot of these dads, they "help" their kids make their "dream car" into a pinewood derby car. Tim went on-line and found a cool design....and of course it is his favorite car... a Willies Jeep.

They wanted to disqualify us because they thought that it wasn't made from the block of wood they gave us. "Is said, it is made from the wood you gave us." I have all the pictures...

I had to jump in and help too. Tim was having a hard time with the windsheild. But he found a better way. Mine didn't turn out too well either.

Tyler painting it...

The top....(spiderman vs. Venom) Tyler isnt really into spiderman anymore. I don't know why he picked to do this. Earlier he had picked to do Indianna Jones. Then changed his mind.

The side....

The front....You can tell the wheels aren't straight. Tim messed up drilling the holes for the wheels so he had to drill them in on an angle the second time.

The track...

Fine Tuning it...

The cars...

Getting on the track...

We didn't win the fastest, but Tyler won the Judges Favorite award...

The award...

Visit to AZ

I loved my two week visit to AZ! It was so great to see friends and family again. (I missed a whole list of people too :o( Like my sweet dear friend Chrissy, Heather, Nicole, Annelise, and Tim's sisters Deann and Lynette and a bunch of others. Sorry! Please don't be offended if I didn't get to see you. I will be sure to see you next trip in May/June) I got to go to lunch with some dear friends from Queen Creek, some scrap booking friends from years past and hang out with a couple dear friends from Jr. High School. I got to go get pedicures with my sister and her daughter and friend. Ahhh that was relaxing. I got to go to a cousin's baptism and see lots of the King cousins. I got to hang out with Tim's family and visit with Great Grandma Palmer. She is recovering well. And best of all...I got to see my sweet nephew Jordan Jones marry the sweetest girl, Sarah Lusk. I even got to see some old friends because they are friends with Sarah's family. When your family marries within mesa, you are bound to know somebody! I loved being in Arizona and enjoyed the warmer weather (some days it was a little too warm) while it snowed in Georgia.

Which I am sad I missed. It was a great Trip! I loved the familiarities of Arizona but missed the beautiful scenery and my family in Georgia. I miss AZ but I will also miss things about GA when it comes time to move back to AZ. I have learned that the the Grass is NOT greener on the other side. You have to enjoy and learn to love being where you are at the time.

Ignore the dates on the photos...I borrowed my mom's camera b-cuz my battery died and she had the wrong date on her camera. They got married on the 27th.

IT'S A...........

GIRL -

Tyler and Kenna were so bummed. But Katrina was very excited about it. She even drew a picture for the doctor of the "baby girl, sucking her thumb" She knew it was a girl the whole time.

My cousin-in-law Jan and Sister-in-law Tasha guessed right. I guess those Chineese Calendars are fairly accurate. E-mail me your addresses girls.
