Forgive my absence...

So I have been packing yesterday and today trying to get it all done by this evening for the move tomorrow. I'm just about done! I can't beleive the time has finally come. YAY! I'm so excited! I will post pictures as soon as I can. Two weeks ago, I called Comcast who does our internet to have it switched over to the new house. They said they couldn't come out until Aug 6th! Are you kidding me??? That is redicilous!!! I thought two weeks would be plenty of notice. Everybody else was fine with switching things over tomorrow. I gave two weeks notice! So anyway, please forgive me for the week long absence. Tim's work gave him a wireless internet card he said I can breifly use in the evenings when he gets home from work but he doesn't want me to do too much. SO...I will do my best. Well, I keep hearing thunder so I better go get the boxes off the back porch so they don't get rained on.

I'm So Proud of Myself! (in a humble way!)

I've been part of a Card Swap for the past year with an awesome and talented bunch of girls from my neighborhood in Queen Creek, AZ. Once a Month we make 13 cards with a theme(this month is 2 Tags) and then get together on the first Friday of the month to Swap them. (In my case, I mail them and miss out on the socalizing :o( so sad.) Usually I get an idea I think is cute and I do it. This month, the creative juices were flowing too much! I had so many Ideas that I couldn't pick one. And then, when I would sit down to actually do it, I would forget about my "great idea" because I had a new idea. It was actually very discouraging. I actually went to the craft store with no plans and ended up spending $93. DONT TELL TIM! I was sick about it when I got home (Major buyers remorse) so then I started over. I got an Idea, I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget. I wrote down the supplies that I needed and I went back to the craft store. Returned most everything. I did get some things on clearance for .50 cents that I kept. And I bought a sticker maker. YAY! So I kept those Items and returned $60. worth of stuff. I went and bought what I "needed" and an extra Stack of Glitter Paper because it was So DANG CUTE! Then, I came home and got to work! I am so excited how my Tags turned out. I'm so excited that I came up with the cute idea on my own and it didn't look like my 5 year old did it. :o) Press F5 to refresh.

We are in the FINAL stages!!!

Tim went to AZ this past weekend. He met the moving truck at our storage unit in Queen Creek on Saturday. They loaded it all up in the "Big Truck". They had 3 guys not including Tim and they got it all done by 1pm. Only 5 hours! They told Tim that if they loaded our Storage unit, that we would have only had to use one unit. Oh, that would have been really nice!!! (I wish they offered that service.) Anyway, they only filled 1/2 of the huge orange Allied truck with our stuff. I'm SUPRISED! They have to go load somebody else from Tim's work Today (Monday) and then they will be on their way to GA. I guess we were supposed to be on the same truck as the Petersons but I guess the family they loaded before the Petersons took more room than expected or something like that, so they didn't have room for us on their truck. Tim enjoyed time with family. It worked out perfect that it was his Mom's Birthday on Saturday. So they did lots of fun stuff. I wish so badly that I could have gone. (Next Time!) Tim came home Sunday night. We move into our house on Friday with the stuff we have. The moving truck wont be here until next Monday or Tuesday. Here are a few pictures...

(A tower of dollar bills) In the picture is Tim's Older Sister Lynette and Daughter Jessica (she's kenna's age) and brother-in-law Lance Baldwin. (They came down from Jo City)His nephew Trevor Palmer and His dad at the end of the table with 1/2 his face cut off.

HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY TIM!!!

It was more of a Birthweekend... We were going to go to Six Flags for Tim's birthday but spending $400 didn't sound to exciting right now, so then we decided to go to South Carolina and then found out it is a 4 or 5 hour drive and that didn't sound exciting either so....we went back to Stone Mountain Park. We have 15 Free nights with the Marriott because of all of Tim's traveling so we used one night and stayed at the Marriott next to the park. It was AWESOME! We went Friday and Saturday. Here are MORE pictures of Stone Mountain Park. I tried to not repeat pictures but there are still some repeats.

Stone Mountain Park 7-12-08

Last weekend was another fun weekend. But, it was SO DANG HUMID!!! At least in AZ when you go in the shade you get some releif. There was no releif here. We were sweating like crazy. IT was only 94 but the humidity was something like 62%. Dang! But we didn't let that stop our fun. We went to Stone Mountain Park down by Atlanta in the city of Stone Mountain. There was so much to do we didn't get to do it all but we got a year pass so we can go back whenever. We went on a train ride around the Big Stone Mountain. It is literally a big rock! It is 583 acres of Granite. IT has a carving on the side of the mountain of 3 Southern Heroes of the Civil War, Jefferson Davis, General Robert E. Lee and General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson (Sorry you can't see it very well in the pic.) It is 90 feet by 190 feet. IT's a cool carving. Then we went to a 4-D movie called Tall Tales. You know how southern folks love to tell stories. :o) Is my family from the South? Then we went on a Bus/Boat tour around the park. Called Ride the Ducks. It is a bus on land and then they drive right into the water and it becomes a boat. It freaked the kids out a little to drive into the water. They used these in WWII and to help victims from Hurricane Katrina. Tim just clarified they are WWII Amphibious Boats. Pretty cool! Then Tim and Tyler and Kenna did something called a Sky Hike. It is an obsticle course in the air. There are 3 levels. Easy is 12 feet High, Medium is 24 feet High and Hard is 36 feet High. SCARY! Tyler and Kenna were so BRAVE! Katrina and I stayed safely on the ground and went down a slide over and over. Then it was too dark to do anymore. The closed everything and had a Firework Laser Show. It was really neat. We are excited to go back and do more at the park.

Also, we drove by the house. We don't have keys yet so we couldn't go inside plus I think someone still lives there. We just took pictures from the street. Then we drove by Tyler and Kenna's school. HOLY COW!!! 20 min to get to the school. That is insane!!! Every house we looked at had a school 2 min away. Even the house we were going to get 2 miles from the Petersons had two different schools 5 min away. So we didn't worry about checking for schools anymore and low and behold! This one is 20 min away in a different city!!! Crazy! Luckily they do have busses and they are building a new school just inside of our neighborhood that will be done for the next school year in August. We drove over part of the Chattahoochee River. It was so foggy you couldn't see the water. Also, they have a Japaneese vine growing here. They imported it years ago to thicken their forest. Now they can't get rid of it. They don't want it anymore and they cant get rid of it. It grows a foot a day. Some places they are letting it still grow. We drove by a place so I had Tim turn around so I could take a picture of it. It is cool looking. Anyway, enjoy the pics below. Press F5 to refresh...

NO MORE DIAPERS!!! For a while anyway...

One Week with NO accidents!!! We moved her to the big potty today! She is so excited about sitting on the big potty she keeps going back to sit on it every 10 min.

I actually have to contribute this to Tim! I have been working with her for the past month. But, I havent been very diligent about it. Well, we ran out of diapers and I refused to buy more. I left Tim home with the kids on Saturday, I had some shopping to do, so I left him in charge. I put on underware, and I told him have her go every 20 min and lets see what happenes. I came home after being gone most of the day and she was trained! She was going on her own. She has been ever since! Thanks to my sweet hubby and his diligence. Now what do I do with the 3lb bag of Dummies (suckers) we bought? We used 5 suckers out of it and that's it. She doesn't really care about the "prize" for going potty. She is just excited to be going on the potty like a big girl like her cousin Kylie does. Thanks for the inspiration Kylie! (As I just finished typing that, I heard her say in her little excited voice from the bathroom "I go on the big potty like Kylie does!")

4th of July!

We had breakfast at IHOP (Forgot my camera) we came home and went swimming (forgot my camera) and then we got cleaned up and Tim read the kids stories. Katrina fell asleep on the couch. While they did that I made brownies and moved the store bought potato salad from it's container into my own bowl. :o) We hung out until 4:30 then we went to a BBQ that we got invited to. It was a blast! Then we all walked to the park/school to see the fireworks. We bought firworks at Wal Mart. They looked really cool. We were so excited to see what they did. We lit them and they all did the same thing. Which wasn't much. I guess fireworks are leagal here as long as they don't do much like go up in the air. Oh well...they were fun anyway. We had a blast!

Our New Residence in Georgia (as of Aug. 1st.)

Thanks to Monika Peterson, we found this AWESOME home at the last minuet! REALLY last minuet! We were supposed to go sign papers yesterday on the brick house below (2 postings down, the white one was taken) and then we went and looked at this house yesterday morning that Monika had found on Craigs list the day before. It is INCREDIBLE! The pictures don't do justice. And there are only 4. These are the pictures that were on the listing. When I take some good ones, I will post them... The basement is awesome! It has a "Media Room/Theatre" with surround sound allready in. A huge pantry w/ a bedroom and full bath plus a big open room for a play room or whatever. The back yard is the biggest I have seen and it is a FLAT useable yard!!! It looks to be almost a 1/2 an acre! All of our neighbors have swing sets which is a good sign of kids. It is 6 bedrooms 4 full bathrooms and is beautiful! (Plenty of room for visitors) The kids will have a "Jack and Jill" bathroom off their rooms upstairs. The master is awesome with his and her walk in closets! I love all the cabinets in the kitchen and it has Corian counter tops. I was hoping for Granite but Corian is a good material too! The only down fall is, it is slightly farther away than the other house from tims work. It is 12 min away insted of 8. :o) In rush hour traffic, it may be more like 1/2 hour. Unless Tim moves to the other office in which case this house will be more like 20 min away or 40 in rush hour. Oh well!!! Tim said it would be worth it for this house. I agree! It is on the border of Alpharetta and Cumming. Our address will be Cumming in Forsyth County. E-mail me for the address. I'm nervous about posting it on the blog for the world to see. We move in the 1st of August, just in time for school to start. YAY! Im so excited to finally have a home and one that I am happy with! Thank You Monika Peterson! You should check out her blog to see their awesome house!.....

Tim will be down at the end of the month to supervise the movers as they move our stuff out of storage in Queen Creek and into the "big truck" to ship here to Georgia!!!
