CALIFORNIA! 3-15-08 to 3-19-08

This was a great Spring Break!!! We went on a much needed vacation! We enjoyed every bit of it. (Accept the driving home late part.) :o) Our original plan was to jump in on the Petersons plans and spend two days at Seaworld and one day at the beach but then we all decided to do one day at Sea World and two days at Disneyland which was so much fun! But, we allready booked our hotel in San Diego and we couldn't change it (priceline) so we drove an hour in the morning to get to Disneyland and then an hour at 12:30 at night to get back to our hotel. We were praying each night to make it safely to the hotel. We got home each night about 1:30 or 2 AM!!! SCARY! But, it was worth the drive! The kids had a blast and so did the Adults and it was much cheaper than gong to Disney World. We will have plenty of time to do that later....

THE BEACH!!! 3-15-08

All ready to go to the Beach!

BURRR!!! The beach is cold! Petersons & Palmers on the Beach

Tim and Tyler, running and playing in the water. Since Tyler got wet, they figured they might as well get more wet and enjoy it. Even though it was really cold! I could feel my ear infection coming back because of the cold wind blowing in my ears.

The beautiful sun set before we left the beach.
So much FUN!

The kids got drenched on the water rapids. BURRR!!!

Does Kenna look tired???

Tyler is all about JEDI now. He got a Light Saber.

Twilight Dinner on Canyon Lake

I planned a suprise date for Tim with my brother Jaymie and his wife Donna. We had a twilight dinner on the Dolly Steamboat on Canyon Lake. It was so cool. We really enjoyed it. I thought I got a picture with Jaymie & Donna too. Humm....well, if I find it I will post it. There is a reason I got a picture of the side of the mountain....it might be hard to tell, but it looks like a Elephant in the rock. Use your imagination....its kind of like finding shapes in the clouds. :o) The other picture is of the scenery behind us as we go through the canyon.

Helping Grandpa Jones

Tyler LOVES to help Grandpa Jones pick oranges. He picked two 5 gal. buckets of Navels in a FLASH and made .50 cents a bucket! WOW that is more than what I got growing up! Then he goes down to Grandpas citrus stand and buys a cookie or soda pop. That is the highlight of his day!

SPOILED!

Tim rented a Convertable Mustang while we were in Georgia. He says I am spoiled. He really wanted to rent the Mustang too, so he is spoiled too!!! Sadly it was way too cold most of the week to even put the top down while we were there. We had it down the first day... then it snowed the next day and was cold all week. It warmed up a little on Friday so on our way to the airport we put the top down. We just had to use it even though it was still 50* outside. And the reward I got from it was a doubble inner ear infection and swollen tonsils. Wahoo...... We decided we needed pictures to remeber the one time we got to drive a Mustang, so we stoped in the Costco parking lot and got pictures of eachother. SILLY!

Lehi Days RODEO!!!

So I got brave and let Tyler Ride a BUCKING COW in the rodeo!!!! I was so releived to see they put helmets on these kids. Unfortunatelly, all I got was video. I havent ever tried posting a video before. Lets see if it works....... The kids also did the chicken races. They had fun chasing the

chickens. Also, here are pictures of the kids riding ponys and petting chickens. Wahoo.....

Catching Up!

So I am trying to catch up on life and not have every posting be about moving to Georgia... So here are some other fun things we have been doing lately!

Tyler & Kenna's cousins (My Sister) came to visit from Holland (Netherlands) They had lots of fun... From Picking Oranges to Making Pictures to the LONG awaited Sleep Overs..... here are some pics.

Disappointed

Someone got to the house we wanted first. What a disappointment! I GIVE UP! I not getting excited about anything until it is done! Really it's my fault. I get all excited about something too soon and it leads to disappointment. We know the Lord has a plan for us. I need to learn to not rush it. It will all happen in his time. Things keep changing and that is driving me nuts! I know it will all work out in time and be for the best, but I hate the un-known. I want to be able to plan what is happening next week or next month. But we are living week by week not knowing what to plan because things keep changing. Oh well. That is the way life is going to be right now. Our hold up right now is our house in QC. Our hands are tied until we get rid of that house. As soon as it is out of our hands we can move to Georgia and buy a house and get on with life. So that is our hold up right now. It's not that I am so excited to leave AZ, it is that I just want to get on with life. Im really going to miss AZ. I am very greatful that we are going to be here for Easter! There has been some good to the delays in moving. Im not trying to complain....just venting. Thanks for listening....until next time.

House Hunting Trip

Our house hunting trip went well. We found a house that we LOVED!!! It is a re-sell. Ready for immediate move in. Although "immediate" is a relitive term. It is more like 2 months. Anyway, It was incredible! The back yard was more amazing than the other. It was HUGE and it was level so our kids will actually have good large place to play. There is still forest behind it but it is forest as far as you can see. The house is up on a hill so we can can look off the deck and see forest, forever and ever. It is so cool!!!! I love it even more than the other. It has a cool sun room and a two sided fireplace going from the family room into the sun room. It is so cool!!! It has one bed room and a full bath on the main floor (great for guests. Hint, hint!) plus 4 bedrooms a huge loft and 3 full baths up stairs and then 3 bedrooms and a bath in the basement. With a huge room for a movie room! I am very excited and very glad we looked again. We are wanting to put an offer on it. I hope we can get it. Either way, we are moving from Arizona to Georga on the 24th. We were going to go the week of Tylers spring break. The 17th and go to DISNEY WORLD first and then end up in Georgia after that on Saturday the 22nd. But I realized that is Easter weekend and I can't leave Easter weekend. So we are leaving after easter on Monday the 24th. We are going to go to San Diego on the 16th & 17th and Disneyland on the 18th and 19th and then come home for a few days to see family before we leave for good. We are going to live in a little furnished apartment in Georgia until we get everything squared away with the house. It takes alot longer to buy a house than I thought. Tim's company will pay for the apartment for 1 Month so that will help. Hopefully we will only have to pay for 1 more month. Anyway, I am really excited. Things are gong well.

Back on the hunt.....

House prices are dropping in Georgia like they are dropping in AZ. By $30,000 to $40,000. We asked our current builder if they could do anything to match the other builders and they said no. They wouldn't bring their price down at all. Not even half way to $20,000. So we are back on the hunt for a new home. I have mixed feelings about it. But anyway. This is the home we are looking at getting now. It is a Pulte Home. It is beautiful inside! We looked at them last time but they were too expensive. Now they are cheaper than our house we got. So I am flying out Sunday for a week to look at homes again. But this is the one that I am really leaning twoards. It is 600 sq ft. bigger. It is really nice. The thing I am really going to miss about the other house is the AWESOME back yard and how close it is to the school. And the fact that we could move in, in 30 days. Where if we go somewhere else we will have to wait 4 to 6 months for it to be built unless we get a re-sale home. Which is also what we are going to be looking at. Wish us luck!

In Transition

We we got all moved out and now are living with my parents in Mesa while in transition. Tim is back to traveling for the next 6 weeks. Moving was a bear!!! It's been a week and I still have a hedache from it. We wanted to get out of our house right away to get it ready to rent, so we had to put our stuff into storage. Tim's moving company will come to the storage unit and pack it all up in the truck when we are ready for them to bring it to Georgia. Otherwise it would have cost us 5,000 a month to store it with Tim's moving company. Tim's awesome friends Tim Jackson and Tony Peterson came to help. What life savers!!! It took us 12 hours to move out all of our stuff. (How did we aquire so much crap?!?!) Which left no time for Tim and I to do the things we needed to do on the house. So it is all up to me. Monday, I painted all day while my WONDERFUL Visiting Teachers and Jen and Kirsty came to help clean. On Tuesday, I painted again all day! While my VT, Katrina Wood cleaned ALL DAY!!! What an incredible person! I can't beleive she stayed all day on Monday to help And then she came back on Tuesday to help more. WOW! Wednesday, I finished up the painting and did some more cleaning. BLAH! I hate cleaning. Espically when I know Im not going to be able to enjoy the clean house. Oh well. I still have so much to do. All of our stuff is in storage right now until we are ready to move to GA. We are also selling all of our Stainless Steel appliances and Washer and Dryer if anyone is intrested. I REALLY wanted to take them with us because they are in great condtion and not very old but we have exceeded our limit on the moving truck so we have to leave them here. Anyway, that is all for now.

It's all happening too fast!

Well, I cant beleive this is all happening so fast! We talked to Tim's Relocation Company and the Movers. We are packing up in two weeks. HOLY COW! Way too fast! We are still going to live here in AZ until my sister comes to visit in February. At the end of February we are off to Georgia. We will be living out of a suit case for the next two or three months. Tyler will go to school wherever is closest to where we are staying. We might live with my parents in Mesa for the two months. They have an empty basement with 3 bedrooms that we could use. We will see. We are hoping that our house will sell faster or rent faster with it being empty. Tim is home until Jan 1st and so we are doing alot of sorting and getting rid of stuff we dont want the movers to pack. I need to get back to that. Just wanted to up-date.

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!! In Sugar Hill, Georgia!

Our house is 70% complete so it isn't all pretty yet. It still needs the floors and appliances, and the stair railing isnt stained yet, the paint needs to be touched up, landscaping, ect... We close on our house February 28th, 2008!

Our House on a hill! In Sugar Hill, Georgia.
The back yard view from our master bedroom window. We have a 1/4 acre. The back yard goes all the way to the way back to the creek. We will own part of the creek!!! :o) Soo Cool!
The other half of our back yard. Tyler will love climbing this rock wall! Our wall goes from the color change behind Tim (the highest point of the wall) to a little behind where I am standing. Formal dining room. The floors are not in yet. We are getting hard wood floors through out the entire main floor.
Across from the dining room is this room. The living room.
The kitchen. It has a HUGE walk in pantry in the hallway behind the kitchen. Im so glad Im not loosing my big pantry. :o) Granite Counter tops. Not my choice of color for the counter tops but they are allready installed so I cant change them. :o( They are ok. They look better when they are not so dusty. They arent granite either they are silo or shilo or something like that. It is supposed to be better than granite because you dont have to treat them.

the wall between the kitchen and the family room.

The fire place and stairs going up. The stairs to the basement are under the stairs going up, behind that wall.

Master bath. Tub and Shower.

Master Bath. Sinks. Toilet room door on right middle door is a small linen closet and the master closet is the door on the far left next to the mirrior.

Our Master bedroom. Doubble doors going into the bathroom. So cute!

Stairs going up. I love that they break and turn. And I love the BIG window. The railing still needs to be stained. It will be a cherry finish to match our kitchen cabinets. There are 4 bedrooms up stairs.

The main big room in the basement. The door to the back yard is in the far back corner on the right. It is a VERY long room. Perfect for MOIVIES!!! I guess in georgia, if you dont have Termites you will soon have them so the green on the bottom half of the walls is the termite treatment.

One of the 3 framed in rooms in the basement. This is one.

A small storage room. You can see the stairs on the far left. There are 2 more rooms and a bathroom behind this one.
