Lake Lanier Islands - Water Park!

Saturday, we went to the water park at Lake Lanier. The lake is 2 miles away from the first house we had here, in Sugar Hill (the cool one we ended up letting go) It is the most beautiful lake I have ever seen! The water is so blue and clear. And it is HUGE! You should google it or someting, It is the crazyest looking lake and it just keeps going! Because of the "drout" the water level is really low. (I took pics of it.) Tim and I laugh at their definition of "drout". It only rains every other day sometimes every day. Today it POURED so much we could barley see the apartments across the parking lot. It rained every day this last week. I LOVE it! The kids are calming down and not panicing evertime it rains. Thinking it's a "tornato". Anyway, the waterpark was cool. Their water slides come out of the mountains and trees. It is so cool looking. They have a weak wave pool, Sunsplash and Big Surfs wave pools are so much better! But it was still fun! And the kids loved playing on the beach in the sand. We had alot of fun!

DON'T PASS UP THE OTHER TWO POSTINGS BELOW! Check them out!....

Our First VISITORS!!!

Tim's sweet sister and brother-in-law, Deann & Aaron Webb came all the way from Lakeside, AZ to visit us here in Georgia! Actually, they came here for a conference and we benefited from it.:o) We met them in Atlanta and had lunch and talked for 3 hours! It was so nice to get to hang out with them for a little bit. We were enjoying each other so much that we totally forgot to take a picture. (I'm kicking myself) Time flew by so fast! We didn't want to go. But they had to be to a dinner at 6 and still needed to get ready, so we left. It was so nice to hang out and get out of Alpharetta. I have been living in a 5 mile radius for the past month. It was a breath of fresh air to go to Atlanta and see family! That was the highlight of our week or Month!

So when are you coming to visit???....Hold on, don't all of you jump at once, we can only handle one family at a time! :o)

House Hunting...

We are going to rent so I am not being a picky as I would if we were buying...These are our two favorites of all the houses we have looked at. Of course, my favorite is the White and Tims favorite is the brick because the basement is so nice. We are trying to get one of these two houses and hoping to mov in August 1st just in time for school to start. The Petersons got one up the road 2 miles check theirs out on thier blog... www.thepetersonfive.com it's beautiful!!!

How to make Ratatouille...DON'T

The kids have been begging to make Ratatouille since they saw the movie in January and saw that I had a recepie for it(Pampered Chef). But because of the move, I didn't want to buy all the stuff for it. And since I havent really had my own kitchen to cook in, it hasn't happened. Well, the time came, no more excuses! We went to the store yesterday and got all the stuff for it. It was alot of work and well...let's just say it's not happening again. YUCK! If you like egg plant you may like it. Tim said it was ok. It was a fun family activity, as you will see below! Refresh the page first,(right now)so it will start at #1. :o)

A Fun Week so far!

This is a post to go along with the picture slide show below....Well, it has been a battle to get the kids to go to bed before 9:30 at night because it isn't even dark at 9:30. They think it has to be dark to go to bed. Well, they are going to have to get used to it! Everytime they see dark clouds and it starts raining and thunder they start crying and think that a "Tornato is coming" or Trina calls it a "Tomato" I used to enjoy rainy days. Now it is filled with having to calm them and reassure them. It is Green EVERYWHERE! I LOVE it! It is so pretty!!! They love to Swim EVERYDAY and pratcie the great swimming skills they learned from Mrs. Suzy Irwin last summer. I miss Suzys Classes! I am getting a great Tan! But the sun is more deceiving here. I get burned faster. We bought an awesome bean bag couch and loved it so much we bought another one so there is a pic of Tim assembling it and then Tyler curled up enjoying it. For FHE we went and got Ice Cream. I thought it was funny that Tim couldn't put donwn the video game to eat his icecream so he has the cone in his mouth while playing the game. The kids have devloped EXPENSIVE taste in food. We have meals paid for a month so we go out every night and try something new or try to anyway. They keep asking to go to ICHIBAN. A Japaneese Restruant. It is good. They cook the food right in front of you. They love it. Fire and everything! We have movie night almost every night since it is summer and we have nothing else to do and they wont go to bed because "it's not dark". So we watch alot of movies. And LAST BUT NOT LEAST...Katrina might have broken her nose. Kenna was throwing a scoccer ball back and forth with her. Then I hear Katrina belt out a scream and a horrible Cry. She comes running in and then passes out. (This happens everytime she is hurt bad.) I noticed her nose was purple and I noticed it started swelling up. She came back to by this time and was crying. I found a Dr close by and called to see if I could come in. They said it is probably not broken and just really bruised bad. They said keep Ice on it and gave me some broken nose symptoms to look for. So far she doesn't have any of them. Infact she is running around and tells me that her nose is "looking a little better". She is so cute! She has such a perfect, cute little nose. I really hope it isn't broken. Well...I think that is it. Enjoy the pictures below! You may have to refresh the page to see all the pics. after reading all that....

This Week!

We are getting settled in...

We moved into our apartment on Saturday May 31st. We didn't have much to move in. Just our suit cases. It took no time to do it. We had our beds delivered that day so we would have something to sleep on. Our washer and dryer were supposed to come but Home Depot messed up. So we got them on Wednesday. We are on the 3rd floor. Tim and the delivery guys just about died climbing and down the stairs. Every time UPS comes the delivery guy is huffing and puffing and dripping with sweat. I don't think it is that bad of a climb but then again Im not carrying boxes. I feel so bad for them. I don't know how the Home Depot delivery guys are going to do it. We are ejoying it here so far. We went to our new ward yesterday. Last week we went to the wrong ward. So we got to the right ward this week. I was so glad that the first ward was the wrong ward. They were not very friendly. But the ward we went to yesterday was AWESOME. They asked where we were from and then said that 1/2 the ward is from Arizona. I don't know if that is completely accurate but there are ALOT from Arizona or have family in Arizona. One guy his last name is Skouson. He knows one of Tim's cousins that went to Westwood another guy with the last name Hall he knows Tim's uncles Bruce King, Monty Palmer and Lila Shoemaker, Tims aunt. He also knows one of tims cousins. Tyler's primary teachers have family in Queen Creek. The 2nd counselor has family in Scottsdale. And on and on.... We have met alot of really neat people. I relly like them because they are from Arizona :o) Just Kidding. But it is nice to have a connection with people we just met. I really liked the ward. They were very warm and friendly. Who knows if we will find a house in this ward and get to stay here. I hope we can. We will try.

We made it to Georgia!

Hello!!! Yes we did make it. Lots of turbulance on the plane coming over. Of course we left Phoenix on a stormy day. And it was stormy all across the lower part of the U.S. I swore to never fly again after that. I don't think driving 36+ hours is such a bad Idea anymore. :o)

The day went smooth. No craziness. We planned on 3 hours at the airport so we didn't feel stressed. It went really well. We maxed out our 10 bags allowed checked and 10 cary on's. We were loaded. We had 2 hours left when we got to the terminal. So we watched a movie on the lap top and ate lunch. It was nice. We also got to board first because of the kids. That was a great releif to get settled before everyone else came on the plane. The kids were terrified on the plane with all the turbulance. Tyler called it the "Tower of Terror" plane ride. It was mainly when we took off because of the storm in Phoenix. Of course we had to leave on a stormy day. It was stormy all accross the U.S where we flew.

We have had lots of fun shopping for stuff. Although I feel like I am starting all over since we don't have anything accept our clothes. We are going to have alot of doubble when we move into a house and have our stuff shipped here.

I got rearended on Tuesday and then the truck took off. I was sitting at a stop light waiting to turn right. I had been sitting there stopped for atleast 30 seconds when the truck hit me. He hit me hard. I bent the bumper and put a hole in it. I felt my lower back pop. I wasn't able to see the licens plate. So the person got away with it. My back has been hurting since. I woke up at 3:45am Friday morning in seirous pain. I couldn't hardly breeth. It felt like I was being jabbed with a kinfe in my back and ribs and chest. Im hoping it is mainly because of the hotel mattress. Even though it isn't that bad. I just need to find a good chiropractor here.

We bought AWESOME mattresses for our apartment. I'm excited to have a comfy mattress to sleep on. We move in to our apartment tomorrow. Saturday, May 31st. I'm excited to have a little more space. Well, I better run. Lots to do. I will post pictures soon.
